Losing felicitas

Losing Felicitas shares personal stories of growing up on the South Side of Chicago during the 1960s. It provides a unique perspective of the phenomenon known as “white flight,” a confusing time of blockbusters, neighborhood associations, street crime, people moving away in the middle of the night, kids getting chased and kids fighting back.

“Not just a nostalgic glimpse of a bygone community, but proof that people of different backgrounds can learn to live together.”

— H. Roy Kaplan, Author of Understanding Conflict and Change in a Multicultural World

“GRacefully written and skillfully examined, this is an excellent book for informed and thought-provoking discussion of a problem that still plagues our society”

— Susan D. Greenbaum, Author of Blaming the Poor: The Long Shadow of the Moynihan Report on Cruel Images about Poverty
